so the main thing I realised is that I wanted people to see me as a young woman and treat me respectfully and like I was mature
Also that I needed to learn how to prioritise. But today I want to focus on the first thing
This year, I realised that I wanted to have some allure about me without it seeming like I am trying so hard, some sexual appeal and perhaps sensuality along with it. I accepted my youthful features my 5'3 frame, slender curves and teenage face but I thought I can still come across as a young lady despite those things.
But i realised those things must first come from within, how can you have sexual appeal without being a sexually in-tune person; without acknowledging yourself as a sexual being and embracing it.
How can you have mysterious allure if you don't take risks sometimes in life, flirt a little and are sometimes shy and reserved instead of giving it all away
How can you have allure without knowing what makes you who you really are
because at the end of the day what is internal always shows on the outside and I believe that apply's to fashion
so below are some women who inspire me who I feel are very womanly but in different ways: my fashion icons
Marilyn Monroe:
beautiful without trying, effortlessly glamorous and womanly. This woman has taught me that sensuality first comes from within
Audrey Hepburn: taught me from her films that, a pretty face only goes so far; wit and charm are important too. her slim figure and classy style are everything. In a way zendaya reminds me of her
and finally, I know it might sound cliché but in some ways Beyonce; she taught me that there is nothing wrong with being freaky in moderation (lol) and live your life without other peoples criticisms of you
I just hope that in time I develop the confidence in my own skin, to truly become the person that i have always wanted to be. And part of that is also acknowledge that my cute face, curly fro and little round hips don't have to be things I should despise but things that just make me part of who i am. jasmine x
